Tsao Chin, the magistrate of Fengshan County in Ching Dynasty.
In those days, Fengshan was a vast area of farmland. But the farm
work failed during the drought because of poor irrigation and water
conversance. To solve this problem, he called on some wise men for
advice and then he recruited many engineers and workers to build a
water passage, now called “Tsao-Kung Ditch”. Since the water conversance
project was completed, people enjoyed good harvest and the town grew
with prosperity. |
