of Iron-forging (打鐵街) |

Iron-forging Street, about 30 meters long, is near by Tung-Pien
Gate.In the good old times, there were 13 iron-forging stores on the
street, which made clanging sound everyday. |

The blacksmiths forged ironware which are appliances of making
farmers' living in the early agricultural society. Due to industrialization,
a large number of cheaper but not so durable ironware manufactured
from the factory made the business slack. |

Now, there are only four stores satisfying the customers' special
orders. |
