Located below the Tropic of Cancer, Fenghsan is in the tropical
zone, with south-western wind blowing in summer and north-eastern
wind blowing in winter. Its annual average temperature is 25 Celsius
degrees. It's scorching hot in summer and fall, while in the exchange
of winter and spring, the temperature tends to drop promptly. As to
the average monthly temperature, the lowest falls in January, while
the highest tends to appear in July. A look at the past ten years
tells us that the January of 1997 got the lowest at 18.80 Celsius
degrees, and the July of 2003 got the highest at 30.5 Celsius degrees.

Nevertheless,
in recent years, under the influence of the greenhouse effect and
El Nino Event, the annual average temperature has been fluctuating
more obviously than before. According to the statistic data collected
by the Central Weather Bureau in Kaohsiung, the weather has been unstable
in recent ten years, and this instability has made it even more difficult
to predict. |
