The Fengshan City Government Office

The Fengshan City Government office building is moved to No 30 Ching-wu Road on September 18, 2001. The present units of the city government include administration, Civil Affairs, Finance, Urban Development, Military Service, Social Welfare, Budget, Accounting and Statistics, Personnel, Government Ethics, Document and Filing and the affiliated units such as Cleaning Squad, Agency of Parks and Street Lamps, Administrative Appeals, First and Second Public Markets, First and Second Libraries. Also, Fengshan City Representatives and Fengshan Health Agency are all in the same building.

The former Fengshan city office was on Chaokung Road. Ever since the establishment of Fengshan Street and Labor Unit in 1920, the Fengshan City Office stood for eighty years. However, because there was insufficient space, and also the building was obsolete, the Fengshan City Office was moved to a modernized building.

After the Japanese Colonial time, Fengshan Street and Labor Unit changed its name ---Fengshan Township. The size of town meet the requirement of becoming County city, when the total population was more then ten thousand people in 1971, and it was then changed to Fengshan city under the permission of the ministry of the internal affairs.
